As a part of the initial evaluation, four trenches were opened equating to 90 linear meters. The area was then opened to the full development area under watching brief conditions. Any archaeology identified was excavated to AOC standard procedures. The area was then left open for the continuation of the development. The archaeological evaluation identified areas of made ground and the remains of the known 19th century farmhouse and outbuildings. The area has had a historically high number of human remains found, however none were found in this excavation.
