Abstract: Adolescent vocal health and development education is crucial, but scant research exists on how to construct such a curriculum. There is ample research, however, on other adolescent health interventions, such as sex education, nutrition, and substance-use prevention. As these interventions are designed to increase positive health outcomes for adolescents, there may be recommendations from these fields that can be applied to adolescent vocal health. This qualitative review uses thematic network analysis to reveal that effective adolescent health interventions are engaging, purposeful, and comprehensive. Suggestions on how to apply this information to adolescent vocal health curricula are provided.
