Abstract: Geriatric Nursing (ISSN 3105-658X, eISSN 3105-6598, CODEN: LHABA5, DOI prefix: https://doi.org/10.66106/ lhaba5), an international journal co-founded by Quest Press Limited and MSFMP, has recently been officially indexed by Google Scholar, achieving global, open, and intelligent dissemination of the journal's research outputs. Launched by Google Inc. in November 2004, Google Scholar is a free academic search engine designed to provide global users with convenient and comprehensive academic literature retrieval services. The platform integrates literature from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, university institutional repositories, and other sources, covering journal articles, dissertations, books, preprints, technical reports, legal cases, and other document types. Search results are comprehensively ranked based on multiple dimensions including relevance, citation frequency, author impact, and publication authority, supporting cross-disciplinary and cross-platform discovery of global academic resources from a single entry point. Google Scholar has become an indispensable academic tool for researchers, students, and educators worldwide. Its free, open, and user-friendly characteristics have greatly promoted knowledge dissemination and scientific collaboration. This inclusion in Google Scholar represents a strategic initiative for the journal to integrate into the global academic dissemination system and enhance its international academic discourse power. Adopting the gold open access (Gold OA) publishing model and complying with the CC BY 4.0 license, the journal provides permanent free access to all full-text articles. This article systematically introduces the core functions and academic value of the Google Scholar platform, as well as the journal's basic information, academic positioning, and development vision, aiming to provide comprehensive academic guidance for global geriatric nursing researchers and to promote knowledge accessibility and cross-cultural dialogue within the global knowledge community for the discipline of geriatric nursing.
