Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of early rehabilitation nursing in elderly patients with cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 84 elderly patients with cerebral infarction participated in this study, all of whom were admitted to Hexi District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Tianjin. The case collection period was from June 2023 to June 2024.The patients were randomly divided into groups using a random number table method. The group names, number of cases, and nursing plans were as follows: Study Group A (n=42, routine nursing) and Study Group B (n=42, early rehabilitation nursing). Both groups received a one-month nursing intervention. Evaluations were conducted using the Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Activities of Daily Living Scale (ADL), and Quality of Life Scale (SF-36). The total effective rate of nursing was calculated and compared. Results Compared with Study Group A, Study Group B had higher FMA scores (74.88±4.39) and ADL scores (75.84±4.15) after nursing (P < 0.05). Compared with Study Group A, Study Group B had higher quality of life scores after nursing (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of nursing in Study Group A (n=34, 80.95%) was lower than that in Study Group B (n=40, 95.24%), P < 0.05. Conclusion Implementing early rehabilitation nursing interventions for elderly patients with cerebral infarction can effectively improve the total effective rate of nursing, accelerate the recovery of neurological and limb motor functions, enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities, and optimize their rehabilitation prognosis.
