This study examines how automation and digital technologies—such as robotic process automation, cloud accounting, and data-visualization software—are reshaping accounting education. Integrating these tools into coursework enhances students’ practical learning, analytical abilities, and decision-making skills, as confirmed by survey findings from 250 students, with 82% reporting improved efficiency and 68% noting a shift toward strategic thinking. Strong statistical support, including a high Spearman correlation (ρ ≈ 0.85) and significant chi-square results (χ² ≈ 42, df=8), highlights the impact of digital tools. The study also identifies challenges such as curriculum updates, faculty training, and infrastructure needs. Overall, adopting advanced technologies strengthens the relevance of accounting education and improves student readiness for India’s evolving digital economy.
