The development of modern technologies gives a powerful impetus to transformation and creates new opportunities to improve the efficiency of cadastral activities. However, the high cost of work using unmanned aerial vehicles (hereinafter referred to as UAVs) acutely raises the issue of economic feasibility and scaling of its implementation. The aim of the study was to analyze economic issues and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of cadastral activities using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The types of UAVs were studied, the factors and characteristics influencing decision-making on the use of UAVs in cadastral activities were analyzed, a comparative economic assessment of complex cadastral works with geodetic survey of the territory and using UAVs was carried out using the cost method; the economic effects and criteria were analyzed, and recommendations were proposed in the context of improving efficiency. The results of the study confirm the significant potential for use of unmanned aerial vehicles in cadastral activities, however, they emphasize a number of issues regarding weighing the benefits and costs, as well as the possibility in performing certain types of tasks.
