Abstract Smart libraries are incorporating cutting-edge technology to improve services, simplify operations, and increase accessibility to knowledge. The article covered the integration of technology, such as AI, data analytics, library automation, and smart infrastructure. Self-checkout kiosks, chatbots, robotic book retrieval, automated book returns, and predictive analytics are a few examples. According to the article, smart study rooms, IoT sensors, interactive digital signage, climate control, and smart lighting are examples of smart environments and infrastructure. The article also covered how e-books, audiobooks, databases, virtual reference services, and AR/VR are accessible through digital collections and virtual libraries. Data insights and analytics aid in tracking consumption and forecasting future offerings. Digital storytelling and co-working spaces are examples of collaborative and community-focused services. Eventually, it was discussed how mobile applications enable users to access online resources, reserve books, search catalogs, and make payments.
