A total of 36 trenches were excavated targeting geophysical anomalies, representing a 2% sample of the development area. The trenches were targeting geophysical anomalies and a previously identified trackway (HER 3314). The evaluation confirmed the line of a previously recorded trackway (HER 3314), which may have remained in use or been infilled during the Romano British period, as indicated by a single sherd of late Roman pottery recovered from one of its associated ditches. A possible structure comprising a beam slot and post holes was identified on the western side of the trackway, although this feature remains undated. Additional archaeological remains included several field boundary ditches corresponding to geophysical anomalies, a small number of pits and post holes, and a series of post medieval gravel prospection pits. These features reflect successive phases of agricultural and industrial activity within the site.
