Unified cosmology from torsion condensation: from topological BF theory to dark energy and inflation

We propose a unifying framework where gravitational torsion, described by a 22-form BB, is the primordial field. At very high energies, the system is a metric‑free topological BF theory with a finite‑dimensional Hilbert space. Upon cooling, a double‑well potential induces condensation of BB, generating the effective metric and the Einstein‑Cartan equations with dynamical torsion. The phase transition proceeds via bubble nucleation (Coleman‑de Luccia instanton), giving rise to bubble universes that inflate exponentially. The residual axial condensate acts as dynamical dark energy, while topological defects of torsion (solitons) constitute dark matter. The matter‑antimatter asymmetry arises from CPT violation during nucleation. We derive modified Friedmann equations, study cosmological perturbations, and provide observational predictions for the cosmic microwave background (CMB), gravitational waves, and neutrino oscillations. The model alleviates current cosmological tensions (Hubble and S8S8) and is testable in upcoming experiments (LISA, LiteBIRD, DUNE, SKA).
