Aim: The purpose of this bibliometric analysis was to analyze leading countries and organizations and to identify the preferred journals, the most productive authors, and the most commonly used keywords in the field of deep margin elevation (DME). Material and Methods: A comprehensive literature review was executed employing the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database's topic field, focusing on DME-related publications spanning the period from 2012 to 2025. This study conducted a thorough bibliometric analysis, scrutinizing citations, articles, authors, countries, academic journals, and pertinent keywords. The investigation encompassed 85 articles published in WoSCC indexed periodicals between 2012 and 2025. VOSviewer software was employed. The period from 2012 to 2025 witnessed a gradual increase in research focused on DME. Results: Scholars from the United States, Germany, and Italy demonstrated significant involvement in DME-related articles. While the United States emerged as the most prolific country in terms of research output, publications originating from Germany garnered the highest citation counts. The journals that played pivotal roles in disseminating this research were Clinical Oral Investigations, Operative Dentistry, and Journal of Dentistry. Conclusion: This citation analysis offers insights into the evolution of research within the DME field, facilitating the identification of the most crucial and pertinent areas of investigation.
