The issue of homosexuality and sex change is a controversial and controversial issue in all countries of the world, and countries were divided when regulating this issue, some countries allowed homosexuality and sex change through their laws on the pretext that these issues are related to the personal freedom of the person and must be respected, and another countries criminalized the commission of these practices on the pretext of violating human nature, public order, public morals and public modesty, and Iraq is among the countries that stipulated the criminalization of this behavior through Law No. (15) Of 2024, the first amendment to the Anti-Prostitution Law, and this law contains several problems from the constitutional, legal and realistic point of view, so through this research we have shown all these problems and proposed ways to resolve them. When studying the research topic, we generally rely on the analytical and critical approach, as we analyze the texts included in the first amendment law to the Iraqi Anti-Prostitution Law No. (88) of 1988, and we direct our criticisms related to each text under study.
