In 2020, the largest healthcare system in the United States acquired a single-purpose nursing college as an innovative workforce strategy. The vision was to better align nursing education with the realities of a complex healthcare ecosystem while expanding access to high-quality academic programs. This article explores how a healthcare enterprise and a nursing college evolved from a traditional academic–practice partnership into a fully integrated model that supports durable transition to practice, workforce readiness, and sustained professional development.
