The title of the Seminar has three parts viz., Marketing, Tribal people and Minor Forest Products (I will use MFPs in place of NTFPs). I have planned to share my experiences and views in seven parts. These have been divided into (i) Sources of MFPs; (ii) The Status and Importance of MFPs; (iii) Some Issues and Challenges related to Marketing of MFPs; (iv) Initiatives for Development of Scheduled Tribe (ST) People and ST Areas; (v) Programs of Marketing Support for MFPs; (vi) Experiences with Agricultural Sector Policy Instruments; and (vii) Concluding Remarks.
