The paper analyzes the biography of Dr Władysław Dering (1903–1965) – a Polish political prisoner and camp doctor in the in the camp hospital in Konzentrationslager (KZ, KL, concentration camp) Auschwitz. It is an attempt to evaluate his behavior under the conditions of the concentration camp. The inmates of the camp have different opinions about the camp doctor Dering. This article explores the various views of the person Dering in different contexts.
