Baoguo Li and Songtao Guo presented the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the International Primatological Society to be held in Xi'an, China, August 16-22, 2027.Key points were strong endorsements from Chinese city, state, national, and academic institutions, confirmed congress venue, and a 10-day visa-free policy for citizens of 55 countries.Following this, a video invitation from the Chinese team was presented to encourage attendance.Council questions and discussion included: A. Humle, VP for Conservation, warned about the need for visa duration beyond 10 days, particularly for Pre-Congress Training Program (PCTP) participants.The organizing committee committed to working with government authorities to facilitate extended visas.B.
