Objective: This study aims to explore the role played by strategic vigilance in achieving competitive advantage in the Yemeni telecommunications sector. Methodology: Adopting a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional research design, data were collected from a sample of 286 managerial and supervisory employees representing five telecommunications companies operating in the telecommunications sector in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Version 27) and AMOS (Version 25) to achieve the study objectives and test its hypotheses. Results: The findings revealed that the overall level of strategic vigilance practices was high, while the level of competitive advantage was moderately high. The results also indicated that strategic vigilance and its dimensions have a statistically significant effect on competitive advantage in the Yemeni telecommunications sector. Conclusions: The results indicate that the Yemeni telecommunications sector has a high level of both strategic vigilance and competitive advantage, with variation in their dimensions. Strategic vigilance has a statistically significant impact on enhancing competitive advantage, with technological vigilance having the strongest effect. Recommendations: The study recommends the development of new services to address competitive pressures and keep pace with rapid environmental changes driven by accelerated sectoral developments. It also highlights the importance of establishing a comprehensive and integrated strategic vigilance system encompassing its various stages and ensuring its continuous activation. الهدف: استكشاف الدور الذي تلعبه اليقظة الاستراتيجية في تحقيق الميزة التنافسية في قطاع الاتصالات اليمني. المنهجية: باستخدام منهج كمي، وتصميم مقطعي جُمعت البيانات من عينة مكوّنة من 286 موظفاً قيادياً وإشرافياً من خمس شركات اتصالات في قطاع الاتصالات بالعاصمة صنعاء، تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامجي SPSS 27 وAMOS 25 لتحقيق الأهداف واختبار الفرضيات. النتائج: أظهرت النتائج أن مستوى ممارسة اليقظة الاستراتيجية بشكل عام كان مرتفعاً، وأن مستوى الميزة التنافسية كان مرتفعاً إلى حد ما. كما أظهرت النتائج أن اليقظة الاستراتيجية وأبعادها لها أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية على الميزة التنافسية في قطاع الاتصالات اليمني. الاستنتاجات: تُظهر النتائج أن قطاع الاتصالات اليمني يتمتع بمستوى مرتفع من اليقظة الاستراتيجية والميزة التنافسية مع تباين في أبعادهما، وأن لليقظة الاستراتيجية أثرًا ذا دلالة إحصائية في تعزيز الميزة التنافسية، وكان أقوى تأثير لليقظة التكنولوجية. التوصيات: تضمنت ضرورة تطوير خدمات جديدة لمواجهة المنافسين ومواكبة التغيرات السريعة في البيئة نتيجة للتطورات السريعة في القطاع، بالإضافة إلى إنشاء نظام متكامل لليقظة الاستراتيجية بمراحله المختلفة وتنشيطها باستمرار.
