Abstract Absorbance measurements are made for oxygenated and reduced hemoglobin in the range 0.6—1.88 µ for application to new methods of dye-dilution studies. Experimental results show that an isosbestic region exists between 1.3 and 1.88 µ, with the relative extinction coefficients of O2Hb and Hb equaling zero at 1.3, 1.67, and 1.77 µ.
