The purpose of this study is to develop a person-care-based, song-centered group music activity program for school-aged children in Korea. This program, structured around the ADDI model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation), aims to enhance children's self-esteem, peer relationships, happiness, and perceptions of parental care. A preliminary study evaluated the content validity of each item on a 4-point scale using the Content Validity Index (CVI), assessed by a group of 3 to 10 expert members. The appropriateness of the program's goals, content, structure, operating hours, application methods, and evaluation tools was thoroughly examined. Additionally, the program was developed based on person-care theory, expressions of care, and song-centered music activities. This process involved a literature review to identify the characteristics, mental health status, and care needs of school-aged children, as well as a survey of community care providers and in-depth interviews with care providers at community child centers. It is hoped that the findings from this developed program will demonstrate the effectiveness of person-centered nursing for school-aged children. Furthermore, the program's development process is intended to provide foundational data for maintaining and promoting the mental health of children and adolescents, enabling mental health nurses to utilize it as a nursing intervention in clinical settings.
