Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Prospect Archaeology Ltd on behalf of KCS Developments Ltd to undertake a geophysical survey using magnetometry on land off High Burgage, Winteringham, North Lincolnshire, to accompany a planning application.. The survey has identified a number of features of archaeological interest. Immediately noticeable are the positive amorphous, linear and curvilinear features within the eastern half of the site. These most likely represent enclosure and boundary features as well as possible trackways. It is possible that some of these features may represent settlement activity as well.
