Abstract This report presents the results of the UNESCO global study on media violence and children which was conducted between 1996 and 1997 as a joint research project by the World Organization of the Scout Movement and Utrecht University under the scientific supervision of Professor Dr Jo Groebel. A summary of the study is given, followed by a detailed consideration of the study itself.
