This article examines the key challenges encountered when translating English idioms into the Uzbek language. It investigates the linguistic, cultural, and structural differences that make idiomatic translation a complex task. The study analyzes various types of translation difficulties, including the absence of equivalent expressions, cultural non-equivalence, and the risk of literal misinterpretation. Furthermore, the article discusses both theoretical and practical strategies that translators use to overcome these challenges, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence and contextual understanding in achieving accurate and natural translations.
