Watching Brief for laying of new French drain An examination of the trenches for the new drainage system revealed a disturbed stratigraphy throughout the investigation area, this being consistent with the nature of the site. No pre-modern artefactual evidence was present. The evaluation met the key objectives as set out in the WSI, which aimed to characterise and clarify the archaeological potential within the area of investigation.
