The improvement of scientific research management does a lot of helps to the efficiency of scientific research, and it is an effective way of performance appraisal (PA) to improve scientific research management level in universities. This paper discusses how AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) can be used in performance appraisal, builds up appraisal indicator system, and shows the course of PA of scientific research management in universities. It will be helpful for reference in PA of scientific research management in universities.
