This article analyzes the issues of crime and punishment based on the source of the Avesta. It examines crimes committed against human life and health, their types, and the essence of the punishments applied. The article also explains that liability was established even for criminal intent, and that punishments became more severe depending on the gravity and repetition of the crime. During the research, the legal norms in the Avesta are comparatively analyzed with modern criminal law, revealing its historical and legal significance.
