The Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution

The widening gulf between scientists and those educated in and through the arts, and the need for a broadening of education generally, is the continuing theme of many addresses. Sir Charles Snow who, as scientist and writer, has lived and worked successfully in both fields, tells us in this Rede Lecture that : "The separation between the scientists and non-scientists is much less bridgeable among the young than it was even thirty years ago.
