Abstract This article constitutes the in-depth monograph of the Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) dedicated to Node 2 of the Prognostica Mens, rigorously explored through the lens of the Cognitive-Informational Domain: The Computational Dichotomy. While the biophysical counterpart of this node decoded the material hardware (Ephaptic Coupling and Thalamocortical friction), this essay unveils the cybernetic "software" of consciousness. The article logically models the mind as a hierarchical control system based on a rigorous binary decision tree, structured to optimize computational bandwidth. It formalizes the primary inhibition between Epistemic Action (updating knowledge) and Instrumental Action (modifying the world). Within these macro-options, Attentional Focus manages the co-activation or reciprocal inhibition between the Discrete Self (high-precision Bayesian calculus) and the Holistic Self (semantic collapse and Gestalt). The final synthesis of these informational formats is realized in the Global Workspace, generating conscious Binding and decoding complex phenomena such as Inattentional Blindness and motor choking. Keywords: Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM), Prognostica Mens, Decision Tree, Categorical Perception, Discriminative Perception, Instrumental Action, Global Workspace, Cognitive Binding Problem, Inattentional Blindness, Δp.
