In this course a video-taped silence movie (i.e. one without its soundtrack) is shown to the learners whose task it is to analyze, discuss, and ultimately dub in the film in the target language. The scenes as presented are linguistically incomplete, this challenging the learners' creativity while at the same time providing them and the teacher with enough of the situational constraints necessary for consideration of and practice in stylistically appropriate usage.
