By careful selection of material and concentration only on the fundamental mathematics relevant to the subject, the author has succeeded in producing a text dealing, at undergraduate level, with what has always appeared to be the most esoteric of physics subjects. After a detailed derivation of the gravi-tational field equations, solutions are given for several quite general metrics for empty and non empty space.
