There are a variety of descriptors available to describe surfaces that enclose as boundaries of multi-dimensional solid bodies. For such surfaces, we propose a new method for the generation of shape invariant set of descriptors. These descriptors are based on a new intrinsic function; the multi-dimensional solid angle for the surface enclosing the solid body. Because of its intrinsic smoothness, appreciable Fourier spectral bandwidth compression is possible. Using these descriptors, it is also possible to reconstruct two-dimen-sional (2D) boundaries.
