This study analyzes community preferences for sustainable public transportation in Makassar City using a dynamic system simulation approach. Survey data from 434 respondents were analyzed to evaluate demographic and service-quality factors influencing public transportation adoption within a smart city framework. Results indicate that working-age individuals, private sector employees, and middle-to-upper income groups show stronger preferences for sustainable public transport options. Service quality improvements and digital integration significantly enhance public trust and adoption rates.
