A closer look at the present CKM data suggests the possibility of the Unitarity Triangle (UT) being right angled. Using unitarity based analysis, the implications of this possibility have been examined on some of the CKM parameters such as Formula: see text, Formula: see text, angle Formula: see text, Jarlskog’s rephasing invaraiant parameter Formula: see text, Formula: see text, Formula: see text and Formula: see text. Our analysis shows that the results obtained for these are in agreement with the present values of these parameters. Finally, for the right angled UT, we have made an attempt to find a simplified parametrization of the CKM matrix which we hope could be useful to the model builders.
