This paper addresses the environmental, social, and economic impacts of the fashion industry, with a focus on fast fashion. It discusses how large-scale production contributes to environmental degradation and the exploitation of workers under conditions similar to slavery. Additionally, it analyzes the connection between this scenario and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to decent work, responsible consumption, and social justice. The study highlights the need for a sustainable fashion model with a lower environmental impact and greater appreciation of labor, as well as the importance of consumer awareness in transforming the market.
