This study explores the teleological implications of divine separation in Gauḍīya Vedānta, focusing on Śrī Kṛṣṇa's reflection in the *Caitanya-caritāmṛta*, Ādi-līlā 3.14, where He laments the absence of prema-bhakti in the material world. The paper argues that this absence renders the world 'useless,' despite its existing spiritual frameworks of karma, dharma, and liberation. The distinction between restoration and fulfillment is central to the thesis: while liberation restores the jīva's constitutional standing, prema fulfills the purpose for which that standing exists. The material world is thus seen as a veiled field where agency, longing, and relational capacity are matured, culminating in Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's descent to distribute prema-bhakti. The paper employs a three-tiered methodological approach: direct śāstric evidence, inference to the best explanation, and original constructive proposals. It posits that divine hiddenness, or viraha, serves a teleological function, preparing the jīva for the ultimate fulfillment in loving devotion. The study invites a reevaluation of the material world's purpose, suggesting that its highest meaning is unveiled through the distribution of prema-bhakti, which transcends mere liberation and religious adherence.
