This paper presents a revolutionary challenge to the prevailing somatic mutation model of oncogenesis. We propose that cancer is not a result of random genetic errors but is the terminal outcome of chronic, systemic microbial infection. By redefining environmental "carcinogens" as pathogen-enablers and explaining familial clustering through pathogen transmission rather than shared genetic defects, this work provides a unified theory for the disease's origin. Currently, at least 17 cancers have confirmed microbial causes. As more cancer pathogens are discovered, we believe it will eventually be proven that all cancers are caused by infections. Cancer can be prevented by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and getting vaccinated, and treated with effective antimicrobial drugs.
