Abstract: Among the major persistent problems with India's progress roadmap is the gap in instruction between rural and urban areas. Despite regulatory changes and rising enrollment expenses, rural pupils still have a long way to go in their science and math education. These disparities are caused by a variety of factors, including insufficient facilities and insufficient public funding, a shortage of skilled educators, socioeconomic disparities, and geographic isolation. The study examines the nature and underlying reasons of rural-urban academic disparities and evaluates how it affects the overall achievement of pupils and possibilities for an upcoming occupation. They demonstrate the critical necessity for targeted aid distribution, equitable learning rules, and fundamental alterations to guarantee fair and excellent education for everyone, regardless of location.
