This report provides a technical overview of the ongoing design and implementation of the RELISH web platform under WP7. Operating within the broader Horizon Europe-funded RELISH project, the platform functions as a scalable repository for project data, dashboards, and models. It is built upon a System of Systems (SoS) architecture hosted on the IST institution’s VMCloud private cloud infrastructure. This federated design ensures that multiple autonomous software systems can operate within strict data boundaries, maximising systemic fault tolerance while accommodating institutional data governance constraints and data sovereignty. It also details the progress of four distinct, task-oriented use-cases (UCs) that demonstrate the platform’s diverse capabilities. These include the Food Memories (UC1, T7.2) browser-based companion application designed to facilitate narrative cooking workshops, and the Recipes’ Digital Twin (UC3, T7.4), which uses AI to model culinary recipes extracted from online social traces as living, evolving practices. Additionally, the report outlines the Shopping Recommender (UC4, T7.5), a graph-based tool integrating computational gastronomy with seasonality to promote sustainable grocery choices, and the Youth Survey on Food Culture (UC5, T7.6), a platform hosting three interactive dashboards to capture and analyse how young people relate to food identity and futures. The report is a deliverable (D7.2) for the European Union-funded RELISH (Reframing European gastronomy Legacy through Innovation, Sustainability and Heritage) project, which innovates culinary recipes as digital and cultural tools to promote cultural heritage and connect with emerging adults.
