Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common gynaecological malignancy in Germany, accounting for about 4.6% of all cancers in women. For many years, the established first-line (1L) treatment for advanced disease was carboplatin plus paclitaxel (CP). This has changed with recent studies: adding immunotherapy to chemotherapy is now the standard of care for mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) tumours and offers a new option for mismatch repair-proficient (pMMR) disease. DUO-E study showed benefit with 1L CP plus durvalumab, followed by durvalumab (CP+D) for dMMR tumours and durvalumab plus olaparib maintenance (CP+D+O) for pMMR tumours.
