Pesticide exposure remains a major occupational health issue for farmers, especially in developing countries where safe handling practices and awareness are often lacking. This study aimed to evaluate farmers' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding pesticide toxicity through a structured questionnaire in a cross-sectional survey. We collected 120 responses via Google Forms, with 110 complete responses analysed. The questionnaire covered participants' demographics, knowledge of pesticide hazards, safety attitudes, and routine practices related to pesticide handling, storage, disposal, and PPE use. Results showed that while 70% recognized pesticides as harmful to health, only 52% identified main exposure routes, and 40% understood hazard symbols. Most farmers valued PPE (72%) and were willing to attend safety training (75%). Nonetheless, unsafe practices were common: only 35% consistently used PPE, 55% mixed pesticides with bare hands, 35% stored pesticides at home, and 30% reused empty containers. Half experienced symptoms after exposure, yet only 35% sought medical help. Overall, 50% had a moderate KAP level, revealing a gap between awareness and safe practice implementation. These results emphasize the urgent need for targeted education, better access to PPE, stronger extension services, and enforcement of safety regulations. Improving farmers' knowledge and safety practices is crucial for reducing health risks and ensuring occupational and environmental safety.
