Analysis of the Legislative Framework and Traffic Participants' Attitudes Regarding Road Contamination Due to Construction Site Impact

The deposition of dust, mud, and other dirt on the roadway, originating from construction sites, represents an increasing problem in urban areas. This dirt is often transferred onto public roads through the tires of trucks transporting construction and other materials to the sites, which can result in reduced tire traction, road damage, and deterioration of road markings, thereby increasing the risk for all road users. This paper analyzes the existing legal framework that may apply to this issue, as well as measures available to mitigate these negative effects. Additionally, a survey of traffic participants' attitudes toward this problem was conducted to identify risks and potential solutions for improving road conditions in this regard. Data were collected from 83 respondents, and the results provide insights into the effectiveness of current measures and the public's perception of the issue.
