The dream of a just social order is end-to-end for humanity, i.e. it accompanies humanity throughout history, at least since the emergence of the first states. The study of the theme of Christian socialism has a deep tradition, both in the West and in our country. The article provides an overview of the concept of Christian socialism in its historical development. The authors show the peculiarities of the concept of Christian socialism in the French, German, Spanish and Russian philosophical traditions in the modern era. The review nature of the article suggests a further expansion of the subject under study using examples of specific philosophical schools within the framework of domestic and foreign thought. The article is written in the context of the search for the national idea of Russia.
