The differences defined at the level of social reality also determines differences at the level of socio-juridical reality. In the condition that people today have the opportunity to emigrate to areas that provide better living conditions, it becomes obvious and natural that each of us is concerned with the question of „which state has a more successful criminal justice system?” and this happens because everyone wants protection including through criminal law. Many of us fail to identify a correct answer because we have not learned to set our own criteria, criteria that describe our expectations of criminal justice system. In this article, we set out to identify and to describe some criteria by which we can more objectively appreciate the criminal justice system of a state, criteria that we analized through the prism of the social realities that belong to the Republic of Moldova.
