Qualitative explanation of the data on the decays D⁰ a₀ (980) ^^ and D^+ a₀ (980) ^+ (0) ^0 (+) in the four-quark model of the a₀ (980) resonance

It is shown that the values of the ratios B (D⁰ a₀ (980) ^+^-) /B (D⁰ a₀ (980) ^-^+) and B (D^+ a₀ (980) ^+⁰) /B (D^+ a₀ (980) ⁰ ^+), recently measured by the BESIII Collaboration, are naturally explained in the four-quark model of the a₀ (980) resonance.
