Regional monitoring networks in Nigeria have been established to improve data collection and analysis for policy-making. A systematic literature review will be conducted, focusing on methodologies used in Nigerian monitoring networks. Bayesian hierarchical models will be employed to assess cost-effectiveness. Bayesian hierarchical models revealed significant variability in the cost-effectiveness of different network configurations across regions. The application of Bayesian hierarchical models provides a robust framework for evaluating and comparing regional monitoring systems' performance and costs. Future research should consider implementing these models to guide resource allocation within Nigerian monitoring networks. Model estimation used =argmin_ᵢ (yᵢ, f_ (xᵢ) ) +₂², with performance evaluated using out-of-sample error.
