Systematic literature review evaluates cost-effectiveness in Nigerian networks, indicating the need for improved resource allocation.
Regional monitoring networks in Nigeria have been established to improve data collection and analysis for policy-making. A systematic literature review will be conducted, focusing on methodologies used in Nigerian monitoring networks. Bayesian hierarchical models will be employed to assess cost-effectiveness. Bayesian hierarchical models revealed significant variability in the cost-effectiveness of different network configurations across regions. The application of Bayesian hierarchical models provides a robust framework for evaluating and comparing regional monitoring systems' performance and costs. Future research should consider implementing these models to guide resource allocation within Nigerian monitoring networks. Model estimation used θ̂=argminθ∑ᵢ(yᵢ,f_θ(xᵢ))+λθ₂², with performance evaluated using out-of-sample error.
