The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis on policy documents from Tanzania. Policies have shifted from emphasising cultural preservation to fostering creativity and innovation, with a notable increase in funding for arts education initiatives over the past decade. Current policies are promoting a more balanced approach that integrates traditional practices with modern educational strategies. Further policy diversification is recommended to address emerging challenges such as digital transformation within the sector.
