Export Introduction: In the current study, patients with Kaphaja Hridroga (left ventricular systolic dysfunction LVSD) were chosen, and an Ayurvedic remedy known as Prabhakara Vati and a modified Katphaladi Kwath were tested for their ability to effectively treat the condition. A total of 30 LVSD patients were chosen for the trial and randomly split into two groups, one of which received modified Katphaladi Kwath and the other Prabhakara Vati treatment. To evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction was determined. Methods: Patients from Kayachikitsa’s outpatient and inpatient departments were chosen for the patient trial. After careful baseline screening, 30 patients with LVSD who were over 18 years of either sex and met the inclusion criteria were finally included in the study. Before involving the patient in the trial, informed consent was obtained from them. Using the permuted block randomization technique, they were randomly divided into two groups. Only 30 participants – 15 from each group – were followed up with until the completion of the trial after two patients dropped out. Results: In this trial, both drugs have shown positive improvement in cardiac function, but the effect of drugs of Group B is more than that of Group A. Conclusion: Prabhakara vati and modified katphaladi kwath can play an important role in the intervention of kaphaja hridroga (LVSD) which was evident by the majority of subjective and objective parameters.
