Foreign language learning has become one of the most significant educational priorities in the modern world due to the growing importance of international communication, academic mobility, and professional cooperation. This article examines major methods and strategies used in foreign language teaching and analyzes their effectiveness in developing communicative competence. Particular attention is devoted to the communicative approach, grammar-translation method, audiolingual instruction, immersion techniques, and the role of digital technologies in language acquisition. The study evaluates the advantages and limitations of each methodology and emphasizes the necessity of combining several approaches according to learners’ goals and individual characteristics. The article concludes that integrated language instruction significantly improves the effectiveness of foreign language learning and contributes to the formation of stable communicative skills.
