Cleavage Maps of DNA from Adenovirus Types 2 and 5 by Restriction Endonucleases EcoRI and HpaI

The genomes of the human adenoviruses sero-types 2 and 5 (Ad2 and Ad5) are linear duplex DNA molecules with molecular weights of 23 × 106 (Green et al. 1967; van der Eb et al. 1969) whose structure has been studied by cleavage with site-specific endonucleases.
