Social media has been ingrained in people's daily lives due to technological advancements. Social media's capacity to transcend geographic borders contributes to cultural transformation, particularly in the area of cultural integration. The goal of this study is to examine how social media affects societal cultural interactions. This study uses qualitative research approach where thematic analysis is applied after collecting data from the defined participants. Findings of the study reveal that social media has assisted cross cultural interaction among the range of its users. However, despite being a tool for cultural harmony there are certain challenges in this regard. In order to achieve deeper cultural integration, efforts must be made to minimize risks like polarization, prejudice and cultural conflicts that can arise in the digital world. It is important to use social media wisely with proper digital literacy because it plays a significant role in society but also presents new challenges.
