The article presents the findings of a study on the state policy aimed at supporting the elderly population in the Russian Federation, with a focus on both national and regional projects. The relevance of the work is grounded in the recognition that government policies supporting older adults play a crucial role in ensuring their well-being and enhancing their active participation in Russian society. The primary aim of the study is to assess the current state, outcomes, and challenges associated with the implementation of state support policies for sen-iors at both federal and regional levels. The research employs a comprehensive analysis of statistical data concerning the results of policy implementation, sociological data derived from surveys conducted by VCIOM (All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research) and FOM (Fund for Public Opinion Studies), as well as an original empirical investigation comprising thirty interviews with elderly individuals and ten expert interviews. Based on these data sources, a series of recommendations are formulated to improve the effectiveness of governmental strategies aimed at supporting the elderly demographic.
